About the Event

We are pleased to invite you to help celebrate our 30th Anniversary at Power Luncheon 2023 on behalf of RISE Financial Pathways Board of Directors and Staff! With excitement, we announce this year’s return to one of L.A.’s hottest Downtown Destination’s… The City Club!

Celebrating 30 years defines our theme: “RISE: The Reunion, The Resurgence!” The honor of your presence is requested, along with your friends and colleagues! When this organization started, everyone was invited to participate in the building of L.A.’s first “Public/Private” partnership. It later became known as The Los Angeles Community Reinvestment Committee.

It will be great to see everyone, as we have endured so much since 2020. Most of us could not have imagined all that would happen—millions of lives lost, sickness, high unemployment, Black Lives Matter and Protests, dramatically increasing homelessness, the omicron variant to covid 19, vaccinations and booster shots-- so many businesses struggling and or lost—difficult and challenging doesn’t seem to describe all that we have endured, but we have made it through.

We ask for your financial support to assist RISE in pursuing its mission, providing micro-business entrepreneurship opportunities, access to capital and financial education to underserved communities throughout Los Angeles County. These programs are more important than ever. RISE’s unique programming has withstood the test of time, serving 67% women and 96% African American and Latino populations. Since it’s founding in 1992, RISE Financial Pathways (formerly Los Angeles Community Reinvestment Committee D/B/A Community Financial Resource Center (CFRC)) has served over 108,000 local residents and delivered over $10.4 Million in micro and small business loans.

While there was a slow down during the pandemic, RISE Team is ready to help build back our communities with economic tools that will help spur local economic growth. Our goal is to build a new $25 Million MicroFund to deliver access to capital for microentrepreneurs throughout Los Angeles County. We also look forward to establishing the first of its kind “Micro Business Co-Working Space” in RISE Financial Pathways new offices.

The “RISE Apartments” $32 Million affordable housing complex for Homeless Veterans is now complete, residents are moving in. We now look forward to the completion of RISE new ground floor offices by Summer 2023. It has been over 4 years since RISE Team vacated its offices and demolition began in December 2018. Stay tuned for an “Open House” celebration upon completion!
